Hello fellow ecocritters. Here are some conference title options. I must admit I do not know what you all are working on for your papers, but Meg’s idea of adding Interdisciplinary to the title makes sense. Feel free to pick these apart…it is our task. š I am not sure if we should go ‘formal’ or ‘casual’. Any thoughts? Please post your title ideas here. We can do an in-class vote on our top picks.
Ideas…
1. Change and Continuity? – Interdisciplinary and Multicultural Approaches to Ecocriticism
2. An Interdisciplinary Tour of Ecocriticism, Ecological Theory, & Environmental Justice
3. Interdisciplinary Inquiry: Balancing Theory and Practice in Ecocriticism
I like the third one which sounds very interesting! I also come up with a title āEcocriticism in Everyday Life: Art and Literatureā for the conference. However, I think my title is too general. Maybe any of you have better thoughts?
Best, Hong-Jin
Great options, Lisa. I like the use of “interdisciplinary” as well. However, here are some admittedly simple alternatives:
*An Introduction to Ecocriticism
*(Human)Nature: An ISU Conference on Ecological Criticism, Theory, and Justice
*Eco: Criticism, Theory, Justice, and (Human) Nature
*Green: A Conference on Ecocriticism
*Red, White, and Green: Ecological Criticism, Justice, and Theory
*What’s So Great About Being Green?: An ISU Conference on Ecological Criticism, Theory, and Justice
*It’s Not Easy Being Green: An Ecological Conference
*Green: A Critical Conference on Ecological Theory
*Global Cooling: What Happens Next in Our Efforts to Inform, Save, and Motivate The Planet?
